Made this page, will get pictures for each planet later and hopefully find more characteristics to add

New page

Space has planets and so does FTL13, and some of them you can even land on <s>to spite Engineering by making their coldloop useless</s>! Some planets are habitable, others not so much, some are just giant balls of gas, and others are lava planets that can be mined. Here's what you can expect to see on your adventures.

== Planets ==

=== Exo Planet ===
'''FLORA:''' COMMON
'''FAUNA:''' COMMON
'''ATMOSPHERE:''' VARIES
'''ORES:''' UNCOMMON
A planet supporting various biomes, some of which are:
*Grass plains
*Snow plains
*Deserts
*Jungles
*Mountain passes
*Lakes
Most of these biomes are easy to traverse, though some of the fauna may not really appreciate your presence. The mountain biomes have a few ores that the miners can get their hands on in a pinch if there's really nothing else to mine.

=== Lava Planet ===
'''FLORA:''' RARE
'''FAUNA:''' UNCOMMON
'''ATMOSPHERE:''' NO AIR, LOW PRESSURE
'''ORES:''' COMMON
Hot planets usually in stage 3 of development, these planets are rich in ore, and are the optimal place for miners to work. That's not to say, however, that these planets are danger-free; while the lava can usually be avoided, the fauna are a little more tricky to go around. It's not recommended to keep the ship landed here for too long, since the coldloop of the engine will no doubt lose it's efficiency up to the point where the engine stops generating power all together.

=== Ice Planet ===
'''FLORA:''' RARE
'''FAUNA:''' RARE
'''ATMOSPHERE:''' SAFE
'''ORES:''' NONE
Nothing really noteworthy about these types, since they're all covered in ice and doesn't serve much as a utility for the ship.

=== Gas Giant ===
'''FLORA:''' N/A
'''FAUNA:''' POSSIBLY?
'''ATMOSPHERE:''' IT'S LITERALLY ALL ATMOSPHERE YOU DINGUS
'''ORES:''' NONE
Very large celestial bodies that have trapped gas in their gravitational pull, and supposedly where Plasmamen originated from, these planets <s>are useless</s> will soon have a purpose once Nanotrasen finishes up their research on harvesting gases on a smaller scale (a scale befitting your ship, for instance). For now, though, entering their atmosphere is dangerous and cannot be done anyway due to the safeguards on the navigation console.

== Characteristics ==

=== Rings ===
This phenomenon is an interesting occurrence where a film of debris in space, usually asteroids, continuously orbits around a celestial body, forming a ring of sorts. Planets with these rings usually means they only have a few different ores, though the reason for this is unknown.
